Math with a Sinister Intent

 The absurd notion that striving for correct answers in mathematics is racist crosses the line into crazyville more than anything else the left has conjured up from their cauldron of evil schemes.  I know that in their progressive world 4 + 4 = 7 (Not 9.  With all leftist ideas you always get less than you put into it.); but that will not work in science and engineering.  For example, if you are designing a bridge and use an incorrect calculation to determine what the size and strength of a support needs to be, no one is going to want to drive across that bridge.  Worse yet we assume that all the calculations could be wrong.  We will be lucky if it even looks like a bridge when they erect it.

They are teaching a history that has no relation to reality.  Students who supposedly completed some sort of geography instruction cannot find Somalia on a map or for that matter their own home.  And don’t get me started on English and grammar.  At what point does the use of semicolons become racist? 

So, it would appear all of us are paying enormous sums of money for something that is not being provided, namely an education.  My own experiences teaching chemistry to non-science majors clearly demonstrates that the science curriculum in high schools lacks any credibility.  So, if students are graduating from high school without any meaningful knowledge of mathematics, history, English, geography, or science, what exactly are they being taught? 

Elias B. Caldwell, a clerk for the Supreme Court from 1800 – 1825 who wanted to see an end to slavery stated,
 “The more you improve the condition of these people, the more you cultivate their minds, the more miserable you make them, in their present state. You give them a higher relish for those privileges which they can never attain and turn what we intend for a blessing into a curse. No, if they must remain in their present situation, keep them in the lowest state of degradation and ignorance. The nearer you bring them to the condition of brutes, the better chance do you give them of possessing their apathy.”

Basically, he is saying that if you want to keep a people enslaved, keep them ignorant and illiterate.  I have to assume that this is the ultimate objective of our progressive educational system.  America has an elite class that believes they are better qualified to direct your life than you are.  Think about how that relates to the concept of slavery.  If you combine the institution of slavery as practiced in the South with the Orwellian inventions of 1984 you pretty much define the Progressive Movement.  I would love for someone with more knowledge than me to expand on this idea.
